About this job

Job Title: Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote

The Role

This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone who thinks beyond traditional DevOps. You'll own infrastructure reliability, scalability, and observability while pushing toward a future where infrastructure increasingly manages itself through AI agents and intelligent automation.

You'll work across cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, monitoring, security, and incident response, building the tools and workflows that allow a small engineering team to move exceptionally fast without compromising reliability.

We're looking for someone who has operated complex production systems, understands infrastructure at a deep level, and is already using AI coding agents to fundamentally change how engineering work gets done.

What You'll Do

• Build agentic infrastructure: Design and implement AI-powered workflows for infrastructure provisioning, deployments, monitoring, incident detection, and automated remediation.

• Own reliability at scale: Architect resilient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports rapidly evolving AI products and workloads.

• Make systems observable: Build comprehensive logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting systems that provide actionable visibility into production health.

• Automate operational complexity: Eliminate repetitive infrastructure work through intelligent automation, self-service tooling, and agent-driven operations.

• Own infrastructure lifecycle management: Drive cloud security hygiene, dependency upgrades, runtime migrations, and infrastructure modernization from design through production.

• Improve developer velocity: Build infrastructure platforms and workflows that make deploying, debugging, and operating services effortless for engineers.

• Raise the engineering bar: Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and influence architectural decisions through hands-on technical leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Staff-level engineering expertise with deep experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience operating production systems on major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Expertise in infrastructure as code, container orchestration, CI/CD, networking, cloud security, and distributed systems.

• Demonstrated experience designing observability and incident response systems for complex production environments.

• Proven ownership of infrastructure migrations, security improvements, and reliability initiatives.

• AI-native engineering habits: You already use AI coding agents extensively in your daily development workflow and have built automation that meaningfully reduces engineering toil.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to build internal tools, automation frameworks, and production-grade infrastructure services.

• A track record of independently identifying systemic problems, designing solutions, and shipping them end to end.

• Experience mentoring engineers and improving technical practices while remaining deeply involved in implementation.

Nice to have

• You've built infrastructure automation that eliminates entire categories of manual operational work.

• You've experimented with or deployed AI agents for infrastructure operations, incident triage, or automated remediation.

• You think about infrastructure as a programmable, increasingly autonomous system rather than a collection of manually managed services.

• You've helped small engineering teams operate highly reliable systems at significant scale.
