Editorial Policy
Our job is to tell you plainly whether a platform pays, what it pays and who it accepts. This page explains who writes our pages, how we check them, and how we keep money out of our verdicts.

Who writes our pages
Every platform review and guide has a named editor, shown at the bottom of the page with a short bio and, once it is live, a link to their public profile. Our editors today are Irfan Sadek (co-founder) and Rez Karim (co-founder). See About us.
How we review a platform
- We read the platform's own terms, pay pages and help centre, and link to them as sources.
- Where we can, an editor signs up, takes the test and records the steps with screenshots.
- We use pay figures from our own job data, not from the platform's marketing.
- We read approved worker reports for payout times, hours offered and screening.
- We calculate the Legit Score using the published method on our methodology page.
- We write a verdict of 40 words or fewer that answers “is it legit?” first, then the details.
Each page has a “how we checked this” line saying what we did for that page.
Independence from referral fees
Some platforms pay us a referral fee when someone we send is hired. Editors decide verdicts and scores without reference to these fees, and fees are never an input to the Legit Score. We cover problems at platforms that pay us in the same way as at those that do not. Read the full disclosure.
We do not accept payment for reviews or platform rankings, and we never call a platform a partner.
How we write
- The answer comes first. Explanation follows.
- Short sentences and plain words. Industry terms are explained the first time they appear.
- No hype and no invented urgency. We never promise earnings.
- Pay is shown in US dollars per hour, with the originally posted amount when it differs.
- Facts we did not produce ourselves are linked to their source.
Updates and dates
The “Updated” date on a page changes only when its content or data changes. We re-check every platform review at least every 30 days and after any major change, such as new pay terms or a run of payment complaints.
Corrections
If something is wrong, email [email protected] with the page and what needs fixing. We reply within 3 working days. When we fix a factual error, we note the change at the bottom of the page with the date.
Platforms can ask us to correct facts, such as payout methods or accepted countries. They cannot ask us to change a verdict or score, except by showing that a fact behind it was wrong.
Worker reports and reviews
Worker reports are moderated before use and shown only as anonymised figures. We never write, buy or alter reports or ratings. See how we handle worker reports.
Use of software and AI
We use software to collect, clean and classify job data, and editors can correct the result. Verdicts, reviews and guides are written and checked by our named editors.
