About this job
Role Title: Fashion and Interior Styling Expert
Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote
Opportunity Snapshot
Pay: $55 to $100 per hour
Location: Fully remote, worldwide
You’ll need: Professional experience styling looks or spaces for editorial, brands, retail, productions or private clients
Your tasks: Review looks, rooms and briefs, judge fit, color, proportion and brief match, and explain your decisions in writing
You’ll review styling work for fashion and interiors and judge it: what works, what doesn’t, and why. This is a good fit if you work as a fashion stylist, wardrobe stylist, interior stylist, set stylist or home stylist and make decisions about what goes into a look or a space.
Scope of Work
• Look at outfits or room setups and judge which one is stronger for a given brief, season or client.
• Check proportion, fit, scale, color and material choices.
• Flag items that would not work in practice (wrong size, wrong fabric for the use, items that don’t fit the space).
• Judge if a look or a space fits the brief, budget and setting.
• Write a short explanation for each decision so a reviewer can follow your reasoning.
• Write or improve styling briefs, mood descriptions or shopping lists.
What we’re looking for
• Professional work as a fashion stylist, wardrobe stylist, personal stylist, interior stylist, set stylist, prop stylist or home stylist.
• Experience with real jobs: briefs, sourcing, fittings or installs, and delivery to a client.
• Comfort explaining why one look or space works and another doesn’t.
• Clear written English
How the selection process works
• Apply with your resume and a short profile.
• Complete the curation interview. It is a short conversation about your experience with exhibitions, collections and attribution. You don’t need to prepare, look at anything or write anything. Finishing it is what moves your application forward.
• Review. We check your experience against what the project needs.
• Onboarding and first task. If selected, you get the guidelines and start with an initial task, which is reviewed before you continue.
